About the Role
As a School Counselor, you will serve as a vital link between students, families, and the school community. Your mission is to ensure every student feels known, supported, and equipped to achieve their educational goals. You will provide a safe, accessible environment where students can navigate academic challenges, social dynamics, and emotional concerns with confidence.
In this role, you will work with students from diverse backgrounds and varying ability levels. Your day involves a blend of individual planning, responsive counseling, and collaborative problem-solving. You will be the first point of contact for students facing short-term social or emotional hurdles, offering brief counseling and connecting them with behavioral health specialists when deeper support is needed.
Beyond direct student interaction, you will act as a consultant and advocate. You will maintain open lines of communication with parents, teachers, and administrators to coordinate academic modifications, accommodations, and support plans. By attending student activities and events, you will further integrate yourself into the school culture, fostering a supportive atmosphere for all learners.
