Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position serves as a vital link between patients, physician offices, and the healthcare facility's scheduling infrastructure. The primary mission is to ensure that all requests for scheduling procedures and tests are processed with accuracy and timeliness, utilizing both manual and automated systems.
In this fast-paced environment, you will be the first point of contact for routine patient inquiries regarding scheduling and pre-registration. Your day involves obtaining pertinent demographic, insurance, and financial information while assisting with the financial screening process. A key aspect of the role is ensuring that medical necessity and payer guidelines for authorizations are met before procedures are scheduled.
You will manage multiple tasks simultaneously, requiring an excellent orientation to professional customer service. The role demands the ability to navigate frequent interruptions while maintaining high standards of organization and prioritization. Success in this position relies on effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic medical office setting.
