The Scheduler serves as a critical link in the execution of NAVSEA Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) ship repair and modernization efforts aboard LHD-class ships. This position is dedicated to developing, maintaining, and controlling detailed work packages and production schedules to ensure contractor work aligns with approved specifications, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and Navy quality and safety standards.
In this role, you will navigate the complexities of shipyard operations, coordinating with engineering, QA, and production teams to resolve scope clarifications and incorporate growth work. Your day-to-day involves building logic-driven schedules, tracking daily progress and earned value, and identifying risks to recommend recovery plans. You will interface directly with RMC representatives, ship's force, and subcontractors to manage access constraints, tag-outs, and testing windows, ensuring the schedule reflects the realities of waterfront execution.
This position operates within a dynamic shipboard and shipyard environment. Success requires frequent coordination with production and waterfront personnel, often necessitating the ability to climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and work around industrial hazards. To support critical availability milestones, the role may involve overtime and shift work.
Candidates must possess a U.S. Government security clearance or the ability to obtain one. Please note that this job posting was facilitated through ApplicantPro.
