This position serves as a vital support function within a litigation support environment, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of legal documents. Under general supervision, the role focuses on the complete lifecycle of document management, from initial intake to final delivery. The primary mission is to maintain high-quality standards while adhering to strict client specifications and established timeframes.
The day-to-day workflow involves operating specialized litigation support software (such as iPro, Law, and Doculex) alongside various scanning equipment (including Ricoh, Kodak, and Canon). Key responsibilities include coordinating document preparation, performing quality checks on electronic conversions, managing indexing, and handling specific delivery media formats like TIFF, PDF, and optical discs. The role requires a keen eye for detail to resolve minor technical issues, such as paper jams or output quality discrepancies, and to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the workspace and equipment.
While the core focus is on document processing, the position may also encompass broader office support duties depending on operational needs. This can include handling outgoing mail, managing faxes, performing light housekeeping, and assisting with reception tasks like answering phones and greeting visitors.
