About the Role

This entry-level Salesperson position is designed to support our DIY business by driving sales and delivering exceptional service. You will serve as a key resource for customers, leveraging your knowledge of store systems, basic automotive components, and inventory processes to guide their projects. Whether sourcing parts from stores, hubs, or external suppliers, you will ensure the right products are available to help our customers succeed.

The role offers flexibility, allowing you to work part-time or full-time. While fleet safety certification is preferred, the core of the position lies in your ability to create a welcoming environment for DIY enthusiasts. You will handle a variety of tasks, from providing expert advice on phone calls and in-store visits to performing essential services like battery installation and wiper blade replacements. Your efforts will directly contribute to both personal sales goals and the overall success of the store.

Beyond sales and service, you will play a vital role in maintaining store standards. This includes managing inventory through truck put-aways, cycle counts, and backstock organization, as well as ensuring the store remains clean and presentable. You may also be called upon to safely deliver parts to customers, requiring basic driving and navigation skills.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and possess a genuine passion for helping others. Success in this role requires strong communication skills to build relationships with customers, peers, and management. You should be comfortable reading and interpreting safety rules, operating manuals, and parts catalogs, as well as performing basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management.

Prior experience in a diverse retail setting is highly valued, particularly if you have a background in sales and a track record of providing superior customer experiences. The ability to adapt to various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is essential. While English proficiency is required, Spanish language skills are a significant plus.

Work Environment

This position primarily takes place inside the store, but you will occasionally work outside to install batteries and wiper blades, exposing you to various weather conditions. The environment may also involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and moderate noise levels. The role is physically active, requiring frequent walking, standing, and the ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds). Specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, are necessary to perform these duties safely and effectively.
