A FOCI-mitigated subsidiary is being established from a parent organization to comply with U.S. defense-industrial regulations. This role supports the critical migration of a defense-relevant subset of the parent's Salesforce footprint into a new Salesforce Government Cloud Plus (GC+) environment. The core mission involves refactoring legacy Salesforce CPQ into Revenue Cloud to meet a firm deadline of July 1, 2026.
The contractor will serve as the single accountable architect for end-to-end delivery, managing an initial user base of approximately 20 internal users. This engagement focuses on a simplified, flat security model and is strictly an internal backend implementation; it does not involve portal builds or customer-facing Experience Cloud components.
You will own the full lifecycle of this high-stakes migration, leading the organization through five distinct phases: Discovery, Design & Build, Migration & Validation, UAT & Cutover, and Closeout. As the lead architect, you are responsible for defining the scope baseline, standing up the target GC+ environment, and refactoring complex CPQ logic into Revenue Cloud.
Your day-to-day involves deep collaboration with the customer to validate object structures, metadata, and automation rules. You will design a custom data structure for license key management and execute rigorous migration testing to ensure data integrity. While the customer drives User Acceptance Testing (UAT), you will be responsible for remediating defects and ensuring the final production environment is operational, compliant, and ready to support assumed contracts by the July 1, 2026 deadline.
Candidates must be prepared to verify their Salesforce Architect-level certification and demonstrate 10 years of provable experience in Low Level Design, CPQ, and migration. The selection process prioritizes candidates with direct experience in FOCI-mitigated environments or defense-industrial programs. Successful applicants will be expected to sign off on strict data residency and compliance constraints before engagement begins.
This position requires Continental United States (CONUS) residency, with all work performed on compliant hardware within the U.S. All customer data, transactional data, and migration extracts must remain within the United States and within Customer-approved environments at all times. We are committed to building a diverse workforce and consider qualified applicants regardless of background, provided they meet the specific security and regulatory requirements of this defense-related engagement.
