About the Role
As a Roving CDL-B Driver, you will operate a waste hauling truck to provide residential trash and recycling pickup. This position is designed for drivers who are happy to be on the road rather than stuck in an office. You will be deployed to business units experiencing staffing shortages or newly acquired locations, ensuring service continuity where it is needed most.
Your day involves maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions and lifting and carrying residential waste and deposits into a compactor. Throughout your shift, you will remain attentive to safety, inspecting vehicles for mechanical and safety issues to report preventative maintenance needs to the management team. You are also responsible for reporting any defects, accidents, or violations immediately.
Shift and Schedule
This role operates Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as necessary. Shifts are typically 10 to 12 hours long, and additional hours may be required. A key aspect of the position is the willingness and ability to travel extensively on short notice to support various locations.
