About the Role
As an integral member of the YNHHS healthcare team, the Registered Professional Nurse (RN) upholds the system's mission, vision, and strategic initiatives to provide the highest level of patient-centered care. Operating within the legal and ethical framework of the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards, the RN embodies leadership, collaboration, and effective communication.
Our nurses practice within a professional practice model centered on 'Achieving outcomes through Autonomy and Accountability.' This framework prioritizes Nursing Professional Governance, utilizing evidence and data to support practice with the patient and family at the center. Hiring Process
Experienced OR RNs are encouraged to apply. All newly hired registered nurses must hold current BCLS certification or obtain it within one month of hire. We encourage all RNs to advance their careers through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.
