About the Role
The School Registered Nurse (RN) serves as a vital guardian of student well-being within our summer residential programs in Nashville, TN. This role is designed to support the physical, mental, and emotional health of middle and high school students, ensuring a safe and effective healthcare environment throughout the academic day.
Operating on the RED Schedule (4:00 PM - 11:00 PM), the School RN acts as a trusted liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers. The position is critical for maintaining student safety, managing chronic conditions, overseeing medication protocols, and responding to medical emergencies. All clinical services are delivered in strict alignment with Amergis' professional standards, policies, and physician orders.
Program Environment
This position operates within a structured residential setting that prioritizes student safety and health. The environment features robust medication management systems with extensive parent documentation. Day programs focus primarily on managing inhalers, EpiPens, and ADHD medications, while residential programs are supported by trained staff teams under nursing oversight. The role involves close collaboration with Health & Wellness, Risk Management, and the Office of Protection of Miners to ensure a secure atmosphere for all participants.

Requirements
