About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with the specific requirements of the department and state standards of practice. Working in collaboration with medical providers and the broader care team, you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage."
Your day will involve serving as a vital advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while modeling a commitment to our organization's vision and values. You will be responsible for assessing patient pain regularly to ensure effective management, performing procedures and monitoring as ordered, and documenting care in a timely and thorough manner. A key part of your mission is to respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively to ensure an unparalleled patient experience.
You will also play a crucial educational role, translating complex medical terminology to help patients and families understand their medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures. This includes teaching non-medicinal follow-up strategies such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes to prepare patients for future self-management.
