About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit. In this position, you will deliver evidence-based care to acutely ill adults who require close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. This role exists to ensure patients receive safe, coordinated, and personalized care during their recovery journey.
You will be the frontline partner in managing complex patient needs, continuously interpreting telemetry and vital signs to respond swiftly to changes in condition. Your day will involve administering medications and IV therapies, managing central lines and ventilators, and providing essential wound care and post-operative monitoring. Beyond clinical duties, you will play a vital role in educating patients and families about diagnoses and discharge instructions, while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide direct patient care to progressive care patients per physician orders and nursing standards
- check_circleContinuously monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs, responding to changes in patient condition
- check_circleAdminister medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans
- check_circleDocument assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR clearly and timely
- check_circleEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
- check_circleParticipate in shift handoffs, care conferences, and quality/safety initiatives
- check_circleManage central lines, ventilators, and BiPAP for step-down level patients
Requirements
- verifiedCurrent RN license in state of practice
- verifiedBLS certification
- verifiedACLS certification
- verifiedProgressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) preferred
