About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med-Surg unit serves as a vital member of a fast-paced healthcare team, dedicated to providing direct, compassionate patient care. This role exists to support patients through the critical phases of recovery following medical and surgical interventions, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout their hospital stay.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care across a diverse range of diagnoses and procedures. Your day will involve conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs, then developing and implementing individualized care plans that align with physician orders. You will be the primary point of contact for patients and their families, offering clear education on conditions, treatment options, and discharge plans while monitoring vital signs and clinical progress to make necessary adjustments to care strategies.

Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe environment by adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols. Whether responding to emergencies, assisting with activities of daily living, or mentoring new staff and nursing students, your contributions directly impact positive patient outcomes and the overall efficiency of the unit.
