About the Role
As a Registered Nurse on Unit 4C, you will serve our medical cardiac population, managing patients with chronic and acute onset diseases. This role requires balancing the complex needs of telemetry and cardiac management for individuals with multisystem conditions, including heart failure, respiratory distress, unmanageable dysrhythmias, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes, and gastro-intestinal conditions. You will coordinate care for patients requiring specialized therapies such as cath lab, angio, dialysis, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation treatments.
In this position, you will utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care while maintaining professional accountability for your assigned patients. You will evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinate patient needs in conjunction with other departments, all while strictly maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Your work will be performed in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards.
