Peoples Health Services is the only family-owned, locally governed Hospice and Home Health provider in the Florida Panhandle. We believe that when we take care of the people who care for our patients, everyone benefits. Our team is dedicated to caring for our community—and each other—through a culture that prioritizes work-life balance and mutual support.
As an Intake Specialist, you will serve as the vital link between our community and our clinical services. Your primary mission is to ensure a seamless admission process by accurately distributing information, prioritizing urgent calls, and interpreting complex insurance policies to reflect coverage amounts and co-pays. You will be responsible for discussing and relaying appropriate clinical information to obtain necessary authorizations for Home Care Services, ensuring that the most urgent patient needs are met first.
In this role, you will not only manage data entry and referral coordination but also act as a supportive backup to the Intake Supervisor and clinical staff. You will collaborate closely with Case Managers, schedulers, and referral sources to coordinate admission dates and times, while maintaining a professional image and promoting a customer-friendly atmosphere that respects patient confidentiality at all times.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, medical, dental, vision, group life, and short-term disability. Our commitment to your well-being is reflected in our PTO program, six paid holidays, and unique work-life balance initiatives, including an annual "Relax & Recharge Day." We also provide recognition programs to celebrate the hard work of our team members.
Peoples Health Services is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
