Experience the HCA Healthcare difference, where colleagues are trusted, valued members of our healthcare team. For more than 100 years, Wesley Healthcare has provided exceptional care to thousands of families in Wichita and throughout Kansas and Northern Oklahoma. As a member of the Wesley Healthcare network and an HCA Healthcare hospital since 1985, we are committed to delivering respectful, compassionate care where the unique and intrinsic worth of each individual is recognized.
Wesley Medical Center is the most preferred hospital in Kansas and northern Oklahoma, treating more than 24,000 patients annually. We are home to Wesley Children's Hospital, the region's first and Wichita's only children's hospital, and serve as a Level I Trauma Center and the only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in Kansas. HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
We are seeking an RN Endo PRN to join our team and ensure we continue to provide all patients with high-quality, efficient care. This role exists to support our mission of patient-centered care within a dynamic interdisciplinary team consisting of providers, surgeons, and surgical technologists.
You will be part of an amazing team that works hard to support one another, operating within a culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff. The position offers self-preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance to provide predictability, alongside continuous investment in equipment to ensure patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room. You will have the opportunity to round with unit leaders, including charge nurses, ensuring your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement.
In this role, you will evaluate patients prior to surgery, provide education to patients and families regarding procedures and the peri-operative process, and assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy and surgical site verification. You will apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and scientific judgment to independently deliver safe nursing care, monitor patient conditions, and respond to emergencies.
If you find this opportunity compelling, we encourage you to apply today. We promptly review all applications, and highly qualified candidates will be directly contacted by a member of our team. We are currently interviewing for this position.
