The RN Expeditor serves as a critical catalyst for continuously improving patient care within our healthcare system. This role is dedicated to ensuring patients receive timely treatment, facilitating their journey toward recovery by overseeing efficient patient throughput. By maintaining situational awareness through communication and available technology, the RN Expeditor identifies barriers to care and proactively recognizes negative trends for review.
In this position, you will guide patients through their medical journey, applying deep knowledge of healthcare systems and resources to ensure access to necessary services and support. You will act as a real-time mediator, expediting and synchronizing clinical issues to remove barriers to discharge and address delays. Your work involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop strategies that reduce patient length of stay, manage complex discharges, and mitigate potential bottlenecks before they impact patient care.
