About the Role
The RN Charge serves as the operational backbone of the nursing unit during assigned shifts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient patient care. This position is designed to bridge clinical expertise with leadership, fostering a positive work environment while maintaining strict compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
In this role, you will supervise nursing and support staff, delegating tasks effectively and providing ongoing coaching to uphold the highest standards of care. You will act as a central coordinator, collaborating with physicians, patients, families, and various hospital departments to manage patient flow, resolve care delivery issues, and facilitate seamless shift handoffs.
Your day-to-day impact includes leading infection prevention efforts, conducting quality improvement audits, and responding to unit emergencies with decisive leadership. By balancing direct patient care oversight with resource management and staff development, you will help drive continuous improvement in patient outcomes and unit efficiency.
