About the Role

This Registered Nurse position serves as a vital member of the night shift team at UCHealth Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs. The role provides direct patient care at a proficient level, utilizing the nursing process in strict accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans based on comprehensive assessments to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

In this fast-paced environment, you will monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to a multidisciplinary care team. The role requires critical thinking and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision while coordinating patient transfers, discharges, and referrals. You will also evaluate learning needs to provide appropriate education to patients and families, effectively delegate care to ancillary personnel, and may precept student nurses and new hires.
