This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Our team of more than 7,000 professionals worldwide delivers all-domain expertise and advanced technologies in service of mission partners across the globe. Mission Technologies is leading the next evolution of national defense—the data evolution—by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions for government and commercial customers.
HII works within the nation's intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, and software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners. We are committed to ensuring a future where everyone can be free and thrive.
As an RF Test Engineer within Radar Systems, you will perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation for total systems. You will operate within an agile test environment, presenting a deep understanding of testing philosophies and methodologies. Your work will span the entire lifecycle of the product, from concept and design to fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
In this role, you will translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications through functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studies. You will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Your daily activities will involve RF chain analysis, radar system performance analysis, and hands-on test execution across lab facilities. You will also support technical publications by developing test planning, procedures, and reports, while identifying risks to support technical and functional leadership.
