We are searching for an experienced Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer to join our team at Point Mugu NAWC, CA. This role is critical to developing innovative solutions that meet warfighter needs and support the US Navy in Electronic Warfare (EW) capability development. You will bring hands-on experience in on-orbit satellite Command and Control (C2) and a strong understanding of the underlying communication infrastructure.
In this position, you will contribute to the development of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for Counter-C5ISRT operations. You will manage a dynamic database of categorized on-orbit assets to support mission readiness by creating and distributing time-sensitive Rapid Reaction Files (RRF). Your work will involve generating technical documentation, including specifications, test reports, and verification documents, while collaborating with cross-functional teams ranging from systems and mechanical engineering to external vendors.
You will hypothesize and develop experiments to provide insight into cause-and-effect, creating and validating experimentation plans traced to requirements. This includes executing experiments to characterize and assess the effectiveness of subsystems in various laboratory and field environments, including military service-level events. Additionally, you will assist in developing tools such as Target Return Emulators, Software Defined Radios, and automation software to facilitate experimentation. You will apply Systems Engineering knowledge to develop requirements and conduct research and trade studies to validate requirements for large naval Electronic Support acquisition programs.
This is a full-time, day shift position located at Point Mugu NAWC, CA. The role requires on-site presence (ORA_ON_SITE) with potential travel of up to 10% of the time to support requirements collaboration, experimentation, and customer meetings, both domestically and internationally.
