This position serves as a critical link between Weis Markets and the broader community, focusing on the investigation and resolution of external theft, including shoplifting and organized retail crime. You will gather, analyze, and evaluate intelligence on individuals and groups involved in retail crime, ensuring thorough documentation to aid in successful prosecution.
In this role, you will operate the store CCTV system, conduct undercover surveillances, and act as a liaison between Weis Markets and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. You will refer cases to law enforcement for prosecution and professionally represent the company in court hearings and mediations. Additionally, you will provide guidance to store Asset Protection teams on investigative plans and partner with Store Management to protect company assets.
The role requires flexibility to manage time and scheduling effectively, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights. You will travel to multiple locations within an assigned area to provide investigative support and assist stores during significant business disruptions, such as robberies, protests, or natural disasters.
