Based in Hernando, MS, the Restaurant Manager serves as a vital partner to the General Manager, dedicated to cultivating a fun, inviting, and respectful work environment where every team member feels valued. This position is designed to identify and place 5-Star talent effectively, ensuring the right people are in the right roles at the right time through strategic scheduling.
In this role, you will lead the daily operations and staff of a Wendy's restaurant, executing company policies, procedures, and systems with precision. Your primary mission is to drive profitability and customer satisfaction while maintaining strict compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices. You will be the face of leadership for the crew, responsible for interviewing, selecting, directing, training, and developing all subordinate employees.
Your day involves a dynamic blend of operational oversight and people development. You will manage labor costs against projected sales, monitor food costs to eliminate waste, and ensure product quality through active walk-throughs and direct feedback. You will train crew members on new products, customer courtesy, and position skills, while also cross-training them to ensure efficient shift coverage.
Beyond the front of house, you will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, following preventative maintenance programs and ensuring the security of cash and equipment. You will foster a culture of teamwork and motivation, mentoring crew members interested in leadership and managing performance issues with consistency and fairness. Flexibility is key, as you will work a 50-hour week across all day parts and days of the week, often standing for prolonged periods in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain ServSafe certification. The role requires the ability to perform all restaurant operations positions and meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
