As we approach our 150th anniversary, Home of the Innocents stands as one of Louisville's longest-serving non-profit organizations. Our mission is to enrich lives with hope, health, and happiness. As one of only two certified Sanctuary Organizations in Kentucky, we prioritize safety and recovery through trauma-informed practices. Our leadership is committed to developing a diverse, inclusive, and values-led workforce.
Our Residential Treatment Program is the second largest in Kentucky, serving as the only dedicated emergency shelter in the city. We operate 10 different programs serving children and families, including therapeutic treatment for youth with complex behavioral and emotional needs, foster care support, and the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center (KCC)—Kentucky's only pediatric skilled nursing facility providing residential and respite care for children and young adults with complex medical needs. Our campus spans 22 acres near downtown Louisville, where we served nearly 4,000 individuals in 2025.
The Residential RN, Nurse Manager is a vital leadership position designed to guide and mentor our nursing team while ensuring top-tier clinical practices for youth with complex emotional and behavioral needs. In this role, you will provide direct oversight and clinical leadership to the nursing team within the Residential program, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary treatment teams and medical providers.
Your day will involve promoting excellence in care delivery, supporting the health learning of our adolescents, monitoring resident outcomes, and maintaining compliance with state, federal, and agency standards. You will champion a values-driven, inclusive care environment, ensuring each resident receives compassionate, high-quality, and person-centered care. This position requires the ability to lead with compassion in high-pressure situations, responding to emergencies and coordinating with providers to optimize resident health and care plans.
If you are passionate about fostering a mission-driven workplace and shaping a positive future for vulnerable youth, apply today to join the dedicated team at Home of the Innocents.
