Pioneer Resources is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities and seniors obtain independence and dignity. Our mission is realized through four pillars of service: providing affordable housing and specialized homes, offering vocational training and therapy, creating recreational opportunities, and operating one of the largest transportation fleets on the lakeshore.
We are a great place to work, fostering a workforce that respects the diversity of the people we serve. Our team ranges from veteran staff with over 40 years of experience to new members discovering their passion for helping others. As an employee, you will have the unique opportunity to touch lives every day while enjoying a rewarding experience that balances personal fulfillment with work-life success.
All positions at Pioneer Resources are guided by our LEAD values: Listen, Empathy, Acknowledge, and Dignity. We engage with participants, residents, and co-workers daily by listening to their needs with understanding, acknowledging everyone as an individual, and treating all with the utmost respect.
The Residential Manager assumes oversight for the care, treatment, and development of residents in a licensed adult foster care home. This full-time role requires a blend of administrative leadership and hands-on support to ensure a safe, comfortable, and homelike environment. You will actively participate in individual service planning, monitor physical health and dietary standards, and manage the home's budget and operations.
While the core schedule is Monday through Friday, the group home environment requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed by the residents. The role involves supervising support staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and occasionally performing direct care duties to meet resident needs. You will also travel up to 25% for meetings and trainings, often using a personal vehicle while adhering to strict safety and drug-free workplace policies.
This is a D.O.T. safety-sensitive position subject to quarterly random drug screening. All candidates must pass required background checks, physicals, and drug screens prior to employment. If a background check reveals disqualifying information, employment may be terminated unless successfully appealed.
Pioneer Resources is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to diversifying its workforce. We provide equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status. If you have a disability and require reasonable accommodations during the application process, please contact Human Resources at (231) 773-5355. All other submissions should be performed online.
