About the Role

As a social worker for the U.S. Army or Army Reserve, you will provide direct services to help improve the mental well-being of our Soldiers and their families. Through this, you will promote unit readiness and emotional well-being of Soldiers, their family members, and DA civilians. Your work may include teaching, training, supervision, research, administration, crisis intervention, and policy development in evolving situations where you can put your expertise and passion for others to work.

You will attend trainings, continued education programs, seminars, and conferences to meet with other social workers, collaborate on new ideas and innovation, and broaden your knowledge on best practices in the field of social work. If you choose to join the Army Reserve, you will be able to serve your country as needed while continuing to support your community.
