This fellowship is designed for physicians with a broad knowledge of dermatological diseases who possess a strong interest in data gathering and analysis. The program focuses on the initiation, enrollment, and daily management of clinical trials, as well as the creation and implementation of investigator-initiated studies.
As a fellow, you will work closely with faculty, residents, and staff to advance research in specific sub-specialty areas, including Contact Dermatitis, Hair disorders, and Immunobullous diseases. Your day-to-day activities will involve assisting in the recruitment and screening of study patients, preparing documentation for the IRB, and conducting data gathering for sub-specialty clinics to identify new research opportunities.
You will play a key role in the research lifecycle by writing investigator-initiated protocols and presenting gathered study data to faculty, leadership, and at conferences. A significant portion of the role involves collaborating with the team on publications and supporting faculty research aligned with their areas of interest. Success in this position requires excellent analytical skills and strong interpersonal communication abilities to effectively engage with patients, staff, and faculty.
