Guidant Power has been a leader in electrical safety since 2011, providing arc flash evaluations, infrared inspections, and safety training to industrial, commercial, and healthcare clients nationwide. We have completed thousands of evaluations for well-known companies in healthcare, energy, and manufacturing. Our mission is to build a successful company while making workplaces safer through data-driven insights.
We are looking for a self-starter who thrives on challenges and enjoys working independently. This role is designed for someone who wants to use their brain more than their back, leveraging experience to accurately describe electrical distribution systems so our engineers can efficiently model them. You will be the company's interface with our customers, representing our values and professionalism at every site.
As a Data Collector, you will travel to customer sites to inspect electrical distribution systems in critical environments such as factories, hospitals, and data centers. Your primary focus is to collect information and perform specific tests, including Line Isolation Monitor (LIM) and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) testing, following strict safety and operational procedures to minimize disruption to essential systems.
Most of your time will be spent alone on site, requiring you to be efficient, manage your time effectively, and understand your limitations while asking for help when necessary. Despite working independently, you will maintain constant communication with our team during site visits. You will open live equipment to record data, read and understand one-line diagrams, and create accurate as-built drawings. This is a 100% travel position where you will see how things are made, working with a wide variety of customers ranging from ice cream factories and tire manufacturers to nuclear power plants.
We are seeking a teammate with the values, skills, and passion to help build Guidant Power into the premier partner for electrical safety and reliability. Even if you don't check all the boxes, but you bring a unique ability to help us fill this important role, we'd love to hear from you. Please apply if you have 480V 3-phase factory, hospital, or data center experience and are ready to help us build a safer future.
Guidant Power is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
