The Fleet Solutions Manager serves as a strategic leader within Hitachi Construction Machinery's (HCMA) North American Regional HQ, driving the performance, reliability, and business value of the installed mining fleet. This position is pivotal in bridging the gap between raw data and actionable business intelligence, leveraging Landcros Connect Insight, Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) data, and advanced telemetry to transform operational information into predictive analytics.
As the department leader for Fleet Solutions, you will act as the primary subject matter expert for digital mining services, remote fleet monitoring, and autonomous haulage support. The role exists to optimize productivity, extend asset life, and deliver measurable value by collaborating across HCMA, group companies, dealers, and customer operations. You will be instrumental in developing internal capabilities to support future growth while ensuring the "Path to Zero" strategy is aligned with customer needs and strategic goals.
Your work will span the spectrum from high-level strategic planning to on-the-ground technical support. You will interpret complex AHS data—such as cycle times, queues, and productivity KPIs—to identify opportunities for operational excellence. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to collaborating with mine site teams, AHSBU deployment groups, and dealer partners to troubleshoot issues, validate fleet performance, and ensure safe, stable autonomous operations.
You will lead customer-facing performance review meetings, providing actionable insights to reduce downtime and lower total cost of ownership. Beyond technical analysis, you will drive commercial growth by identifying opportunities for digital service expansion, supporting sales teams with cost-benefit analyses, and contributing to the commercialization of HCMA's digital and AHS service portfolios. Additionally, you will provide critical feedback to global engineering teams to influence algorithm enhancements and system updates based on real-world fleet performance.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a comprehensive interview process designed to assess both technical expertise and strategic fit. The process typically includes:
