The Greater Manchester Region includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, and Rockville General, a 102-bed campus facility. The region also encompasses a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. Serving a population of 300,000 people across 19 towns, the region employs approximately 2,500 colleagues dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in our Surgical Services, you will utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality direct and indirect care. You will coordinate patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families. This role requires demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles to provide age-appropriate care while responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
In the operating room, you will function in the scrub role, preparing rooms with necessary instruments and supplies. You will maintain aseptic technique, communicate effectively with the surgical team regarding counts and specimens, and assist with corrective actions to ensure patient safety. You will serve as a professional role model, mentor, and autonomous practitioner consistent with evidence-based standards.
