About the Role
This Registered Nurse position is a vital component of the Avera Cancer Institute, specifically serving the oncology patient population at the Prairie Center. The role focuses on completing venous and central lab specimen collections, including line-based specimens and peripheral vein phlebotomy. Beyond technical collection duties, the RN provides front-line evaluation of patient conditions, ensuring any variances are promptly communicated to the appropriate clinician in accordance with established protocols.
The position operates on a day shift schedule from 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. The location is closed on weekends and holidays, allowing for a consistent weekday rhythm while supporting critical cancer care needs.
