About the Role
Central Maine Medical Center seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver safe, compassionate bedside care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. This role is vital to our mission of fostering a culture focused on patient safety, respect, and community service. You will serve as a key member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with RNs, physicians, and care providers to promote quality outcomes, patient education, and discharge readiness.
In this position, you will perform focused patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, and document care accurately in the electronic medical record. Your day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with admission, transfer, and discharge processes while maintaining strict infection control and patient safety standards. You will also actively participate in quality improvement and patient experience initiatives, ensuring a respectful, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care environment for all patients and their families.
