The 32nd Avenue Building houses the Med/Surg unit, a Comprehensive Stroke Center within the Fargo facility. This unit provides a dynamic environment where nurses care for a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from stroke, post-operative back and neck surgeries, and neurological work-ups for dizziness, confusion, and weakness. The team also manages medical and surgical cases involving COPD, abdominal pain, GI bleeds, hernia repairs, ENT procedures, and post-operative urological patients.

You will be responsible for organizing and providing comprehensive nursing care through the full process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. A key part of your role involves delegating aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. You will contribute directly to meeting the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia Health while ensuring compliance with Joint Commission requirements and other federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
