Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, located inside CAMC, is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to helping patients during some of the most vulnerable and painful moments of their lives. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Long Term Acute Care unit, you will partner with a team of over 44,000 committed professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. This role exists to support patients through their extended healing journey, ensuring they receive systematic assessment, accurate documentation, and expert clinical judgment.
In this day-to-day capacity, you will receive admissions and transfers, interpret diagnostic data including labs and telemetry, and ensure medical orders are processed accurately. You will be responsible for instructing and counseling patients and their families, while maintaining competence in Rapid Response and code events. We support your career growth with an extensive orientation program to ensure a smooth transition, alongside opportunities to advance your skills through our clinical ladder program and certifications such as PCCN and CCRN.
