About the Team
Mission Hospital, a member of Mission Health and an operating division of HCA Healthcare, serves as the regional tertiary and quaternary care center in Western North Carolina. As the region's only trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the hospital also houses the only children's hospital in the area. Mission Hospital is a Magnet® designated hospital for nursing excellence, reflecting its commitment to high standards of care.
The NICU Unit is a 51-bed facility that serves as the region's only Mission-only Level III Neonatal ICU, hosting approximately 900 admissions annually. The team is dedicated to providing safe, high-quality care, supported by robust supply chains, advanced technology for patient monitoring, and ongoing clinical education to ensure nurses have the tools they need to succeed.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in the NICU, you will provide leadership to facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care focused on the comfort and well-being of patients. Your day will involve utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and their families. You will implement medically prescribed interventions while working in an environment designed to streamline efficiency and support your professional growth.
