About the Unit
Labor & Delivery at UVMMC supports our network and region by performing 2,200 to 2,300 deliveries per year. Our unit features 11 rooms and 2 operating rooms, providing a comprehensive environment for patient care. We are committed to maintaining great patient ratios and ensuring our nurses are truly happy and feel valued.
Our team culture is distinct, offering nurses a genuine voice through shared governance. We encourage professional growth and development, providing structured preceptorships and continuing education opportunities. Additionally, we have made significant investments in safe patient handling and mobility equipment to support our staff and patients.
