The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for rendering professional nursing services, either directly or indirectly, for a defined group of patients according to the hospital's philosophy of patient care. This role requires a deep understanding of the needs of critically-ill medical and surgical patients, encompassing both their medical and psychological well-being. A key aspect of the position is maintaining an environment free from noise and anxiety to support patient recovery.
Nurses in this position must demonstrate competence in operating all resuscitation equipment and possess a thorough knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and the basics of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumping. The role demands the ability to recognize all significant cardiac arrhythmias and a clear understanding of symptoms and clinical findings for myocardial infarction and its complications.
This is a full-time position with a shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The position is bonus eligible.
