Step into the heart of critical care at our 21-bed Medical/Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (MICU), where every shift is a chance to make a profound impact. As a MICU RN, you will be part of a high-performing, interdisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional care rooted in the latest evidence-based practices. Our culture is built on the belief that excellence and compassion go hand in hand.
Collaboration is our cornerstone. You will work side-by-side with RNs, LNAs, RTs, PT/OTs, Unit Clerks, Environmental Services, and a full spectrum of medical staff including interns, residents, fellows, and attending physicians. Together, we create a supportive, respectful environment focused on clinical excellence.
MICU nurses are lifelong learners and passionate educators. Whether you are pursuing your CCRN certification or advancing through our Clinical Advancement and Recognition Program (CARP), you will find mentorship, encouragement, and room to grow. We are a unit that doesn't just follow best practices—we help shape them, with nurses actively contributing to quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
In the MICU, you will care for some of the most critically ill patients in the region. This environment demands sharp clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, and a deep commitment to continuous learning. You will manage a diverse, high-acuity population facing neurological emergencies, cardiac crises, pulmonary challenges, severe infections, and complex metabolic issues.
Beyond clinical duties, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered support for patients and families, particularly during end-of-life care. We are committed to great patient ratios and have made significant investments in safe patient handling and mobility equipment to ensure your safety and efficiency. Through shared governance, nurses truly have a voice here, ensuring our team culture remains unique and responsive to the needs of our staff and patients.
