This position is based in the Emergency Department at Carolinas Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will be a vital member of a fast-paced, dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across the continuum. Your day will involve engaging in unit councils and professional governance to improve care processes, while utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate patient needs. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to influence care outcomes, uphold a culture of safety, and ensure ethical decision-making in alignment with the ANA Code of Ethics.
The role requires the ability to adapt to the specific needs of patients across the lifespan, from infants to the elderly, and may involve floating to other units or departments within the designated service area to meet fluctuating patient care demands. You will be responsible for administering medications and therapies safely, maintaining accurate electronic health records, and fostering effective communication and conflict resolution within the team.
