About Advocate Health

Advocate Health is the third-largest nonprofit, integrated health system in the United States, formed from the combination of Advocate Aurora Health and Atrium Health. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the organization serves nearly 6 million patients across 69 hospitals and over 1,000 care locations. As a national leader in clinical innovation and value-based care, Advocate Health is recognized for expertise in cardiology, neurosciences, oncology, pediatrics, and rehabilitation. The system is deeply committed to providing equitable care for all, contributing more than $6 billion in annual community benefits.

About the Role

This position is based in the Emergency Department at Carolinas Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will be a vital member of a fast-paced, dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across the continuum. Your day will involve engaging in unit councils and professional governance to improve care processes, while utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate patient needs. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to influence care outcomes, uphold a culture of safety, and ensure ethical decision-making in alignment with the ANA Code of Ethics.

The role requires the ability to adapt to the specific needs of patients across the lifespan, from infants to the elderly, and may involve floating to other units or departments within the designated service area to meet fluctuating patient care demands. You will be responsible for administering medications and therapies safely, maintaining accurate electronic health records, and fostering effective communication and conflict resolution within the team.

Our Commitment to You

Advocate Health offers a comprehensive suite of Total Rewards designed to support you both at and away from work. This includes competitive compensation, generous retirement offerings, and programs invested in your career development. Eligible teammates may access paid time off, health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, life), flexible spending accounts, family benefits including adoption assistance and paid parental leave, and an Educational Assistance Program. Premium pay opportunities, such as shift and on-call differentials, are available based on job requirements.

Hiring Process

Interested candidates should apply through the official Advocate Health career portal. The recruitment process typically involves a review of qualifications, followed by an interview with the hiring manager to discuss clinical experience and team fit. Specific interview steps may vary by department and role requirements.

Equal Opportunity Employer

Advocate Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing equitable care for all. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
