The Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Cath Lab assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care within a high-stress, fast-paced environment. You will function as a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, utilizing the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practice to address patients' rapidly changing needs. This role requires the ability to react calmly and accurately while coordinating care with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiac surgeons.
Our facility features two Cath Labs, one Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, one Vascular Suite, and one Hybrid Operating Room. We perform approximately 350 procedures monthly, ranging from diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations to complex structural heart interventions like TAVR and MitraClip. Our team utilizes advanced equipment including Philips imaging systems, GE Mac-Lab hemodynamic monitors, and technologies such as Impella, Shockwave, and 3D ICE. Procedures are typically executed by three-person teams consisting of registered nurses and invasive technologists, supported by a collaborative culture that values respect and precision.
This position offers a 40-hour work week, typically structured as four 10-hour shifts. Regular lab hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with flexibility for shift negotiations. The role includes shared on-call obligations requiring a 30-minute response time, covering evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM, as well as 24-hour coverage on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
