The Infusion Nurse serves as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary team within Ambulatory Oncology, coordinating care across the continuum. This role focuses on triaging acute illness, ongoing patient assessment, evaluating responses to care, and providing comprehensive patient education. The team is dedicated to professional growth, continuous improvement of patient care, and ensuring nurses feel valued with a unique team culture.
As an Ambulatory RN II, you will provide advanced professional nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness. Your responsibilities include the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient health needs, delivering direct care to patients and families, and teaching preparation for continuing care. Organizational Standards of Patient Care and Nursing Practice guide your delivery of services. This is a part-time position (40 hours per bi-weekly pay period) in the Cancer Center infusion area with negotiable 9, 10, or 12-hour shifts. On-call duties are not required.
