The Infusion Nurse in Ambulatory Oncology serves as a pivotal member of the patients' multidisciplinary team, coordinating care across the continuum. This role focuses on the triage of acute illness, ongoing patient assessment, and the evaluation of response to illness and care. The team is dedicated to professional growth, continuous improvement of patient care, and ensuring nurses feel valued with a unique team culture.
As an Ambulatory RN II, you will provide advanced professional nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness. Your responsibilities include the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient health needs, as well as providing direct care to patients and families. You will also lead teaching and preparation for continuing care, guided by organizational standards of patient care and nursing practice.
This is a part-time position (40 hours per bi-weekly pay period) within the Cancer Center infusion area. Hours are negotiable, with options for 9-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts. On-call duties are not required.
