As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Care unit at Levindale Hospital, you will provide direct clinical patient care under the direction of the unit manager. This role is pivotal in assessing, planning, and implementing age-appropriate clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit level basis. You will be accountable for supervising staff to whom care is delegated, ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care while supporting the Chief Nursing Officer in resource management and staff competency.
In this position, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to prioritize patient and family needs. Your day will involve accurately evaluating patients, documenting clinical assessments including emotional and physical pain, and developing discharge plans. You will also engage in ongoing practice initiatives to improve quality and outcomes, staying current on nursing research and evidence-based clinical practice changes.
