This position serves as a critical link between legal boundaries and physical terrain, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all survey work performed for the Authority. The role requires a professional who can interpret complex design manuals, recognize field features, and assume legal responsibility for survey data within the laws and regulations of the Navajo Nation.
You will direct and conduct surveys to establish legal property boundaries based on deeds, easements, and withdrawals. Beyond fieldwork, the role involves coordinating findings with engineering personnel and clients, preparing detailed legal descriptions for deeds and leases, and supervising survey crews. The position also includes developing criteria for survey methods, conducting research into mapping techniques, and potentially managing aerial photography specifications.
