We are actively recruiting a Registered Dietitian to join our growing team in Newburgh, NY. This role is pivotal in delivering nutrition-related expertise to our local agency, with a specific emphasis on overseeing high-risk care participants. You will serve as a leader in planning, conducting, and evaluating participant-centered nutrition services, ensuring the efficient flow of assessment and education processes.
In this position, you will conduct complete nutrition assessments to determine risk and enroll participants. A significant portion of your day will involve providing participant-centered counseling to help mothers initiate and sustain breastfeeding, addressing common concerns, and issuing breast pumps. You will develop and implement individual care plans (ICPs), prescribe and tailor food packages, and track participant progress to improve health outcomes. Additionally, you will provide leadership in developing and conducting nutrition training for staff, while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding patient, financial, and employee relations.
This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive rate of $35.00 per hour. The role is based in Newburgh, NY, with the flexibility to work one day per week remotely.
