About the Role
Step into a leadership role and shape what's next as the Regional Manager of Land Development. Based in our Irvine office, you will lead Cannon's Southern California operations across Los Angeles County, Orange County, and the Inland Empire. This position is strategically positioned as the next step in leadership succession for Cannon's Development group, preparing you for expanded responsibilities and advancement into a senior leadership role as Director of Development.
In this capacity, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects. You will lead and mentor engineering teams while driving business development efforts with private developers, landowners, and higher education institutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to guide the future of our land development operations while fostering a positive, active team-building environment.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct business development activities and secure new development opportunities
- check_circleManage civil engineering land development projects from proposal through delivery
- check_circleCoordinate with jurisdictional agencies to obtain approvals for improvement plans
- check_circleCommunicate effectively with clients, agencies, and internal departments
- check_circleManage quality assurance and quality control processes for all projects
- check_circleRepresent the company professionally in all client and community interactions
- check_circleLead, mentor, and grow the Development team across Southern California regions
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college
- verifiedCalifornia P.E. license
- verified15+ years' experience in civil engineering specifically pertaining to land development projects
- verified10+ years demonstrated experience supervising and successfully managing projects
- verifiedExperience with business development and client management
- verifiedWorking knowledge of computer software programs used for civil engineering design (AutoCAD, Civil3D, AES, WSPG, Flowmaster, etc.)
- verifiedProven experience in processing improvement plans with jurisdictional agencies
Nice to Have
Participation in Land Development organizations such as BIA.
