About the Role

As a Flatbed CDL Driver, you will operate our modern fleet across regional, local, dedicated, and over-the-road (OTR) routes throughout the western region of America. You will be responsible for transporting critical materials that support infrastructure and industry. This role is designed for experienced drivers who value safety and reliability.

Our commitment to your safety is paramount. You will drive the newest flatbed trucks equipped with cutting-edge technologies, including lane departure and forward collision warning systems, hard brake monitoring, and satellite communication devices. Every tractor is meticulously maintained; if a truck requires repairs, it will not return to service until it is 100% ready to hit the road safely.

The day-to-day experience includes tarping approximately 70% of loads, which requires the physical ability to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform. Drivers also have access to an award-winning driver portal app, built by drivers for drivers, providing real-time updates, pay access, trip data, and 24/7 support.

Hiring Process

We understand that changing jobs is never easy, which is why we offer a $1,800 Transition Package to invest in your success. This includes $1,000 allotted for orientation during your first two weeks, allowing you to focus on driving while we handle the rest.

To join our team, you must complete a short-form application (taking approximately 2 minutes) and speak with a recruiter to find the route that fits you best. The hiring process includes:

1. Application: Complete the short-form application.
2. Recruiter Call: Speak with a System Transport recruiter to discuss route options and the pay package.
3. Orientation & Testing: Attend orientation, which includes a physical test to verify the ability to tarp loads safely.
4. Background Checks: Complete required background checks, drug tests, and Clearinghouse results.

Guest Rider Policy: While pets are not allowed, System Transport permits riders aged 7 and up after 90 days of safe driving.
