System Transport has been hauling what builds America since 1972. We combine the resources of a large company with the feel of a small one, keeping the country running with drivers behind the wheel. Our mission is to transport important goods and materials—including glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals—while maintaining a culture where drivers are America Proud and Flatbed Strong.
As a Flatbed CDL-A Driver, you will operate in the western region of America across regional, local, dedicated, and over-the-road (OTR) routes. You will drive modern flatbed trucks equipped with cutting-edge safety technologies, such as lane departure warnings, forward collision systems, and satellite communication devices. Every tractor is meticulously maintained to ensure it is 100% ready for the road before you get behind the wheel.
A typical day involves transporting diverse cargo and tarping approximately 70% of loads. Drivers must be physically capable of lifting a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice, a requirement tested during orientation. You will have access to an award-winning driver portal for real-time updates, pay access, and trip data, supported by 24/7/365 road service staff and shops.
To join our team, complete our short-form application, which takes approximately 2 minutes. We encourage you to call a recruiter at 1-866-725-5083 to discuss route options and find the best fit for your lifestyle.
Our transition package is designed to make changing jobs easier, offering a $1,800 package that includes $1,000 for orientation during your first two weeks. The interview process includes a background check, a clean drug test, and a verification of your Clearinghouse result. During orientation, you will also undergo a physical test to ensure you can meet the specific requirements of flatbed driving.
We are committed to fair pay and equal opportunity for all employees. System Transport is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We prioritize your safety and comfort, offering a supportive environment with a dedicated team ready to assist you on the road. While we do not allow pets, we do allow riders aged 7 and up after 90 days of safe driving.
Join us to become part of a team that values your contribution to the nation's infrastructure.
