Penske Logistics engineers state-of-the-art transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions that deliver powerful business results for market-leading companies. With operations across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske helps businesses move forward by increasing visibility and driving down supply-chain costs. As part of the Elite Driver team, you join a group of professional truck drivers committed to delivering products safely and on time, representing not just Penske, but also the world's leading brands you serve.
This isn't a typical CDL-A role. The Regional Elite Truck Driver position is designed for experienced, reliable drivers who want variety, flexibility, and the chance to make a tangible impact. You will travel to support critical operations in Minnesota, helping to launch new business and stepping in where strong drivers are needed most. Instead of being assigned to a single route, you become part of a regional response team deployed to various Penske locations to support special projects, stabilize performance, and assist with new account startups.
Your day-to-day involves performing multi-stop deliveries in a variety of environments, ranging from high-touch to no-touch operations. You will utilize scanners and onboard technology to ensure accurate deliveries while driving well-maintained vehicles equipped with best-in-class specs for comfort and safety, including in-cab cameras. Training is provided for specialized equipment, allowing you to adapt to different assignments and environments.
You are not just driving a truck; you are part of a select, high-performing team where no two assignments are the same. This role offers true flexibility with assignments lasting at least three weeks, with the option to extend and continue traveling as long as it works for you. For every three weeks of travel worked, drivers are provided the option of a home week or another travel week. You will be on the move with Penske, and so will your career, with opportunities to move to new cities across the nation.
Qualified candidates must hold a current CDL-A, have at least 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years, and no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years. Preferred candidates will have hazmat and doubles endorsements. Drivers must live within 50 miles of the Minneapolis area.
To apply, complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening. This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation, requiring English language proficiency and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
