About the Role
Clean Harbors is seeking a Regional Class A Tanker Driver to join a safety-conscious team based in Dolton, IL. This position focuses on transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste across a regional route spanning Dolton, IL, to Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana. Drivers operate tractor-trailer tanker units, ensuring proper loading, unloading, and securing of loads while adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and placarding requirements.
The role requires a commitment to safety as the number one priority, with drivers expected to comply with all safe work practices and policies. The average work week is 60 hours, with a schedule designed to allow drivers to be home most evenings. However, the position does require willingness to stay out overnight 1–2 nights per week to meet route demands. Drivers will also maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
