The Recovery Care Specialist promotes clients' involvement in the treatment program. This role is designed to assist clients in various clinical, nutritional, and administrative activities as directed to ensure optimal client outcomes. You will manage the daily milieu, providing one-on-one time with clients during scheduled activities and leisure time. A key part of your day involves eating meals with clients to model healthy food and body image behaviors, while observing client behavior during and after these times. You will also assist with nutritional activities, including meal preparation, grocery shopping, and meal outings, alongside housekeeping duties and facility maintenance. The position requires you to identify cues and behaviors that may indicate a change in a client's status and communicate pertinent patient information to the Clinical Director and treatment team.
The facility is located in Columbiana, which is commutable from Shelby, Calera, Chelsea, Montevallo, Alabaster, and Pelham. Please note that commuting from the Birmingham area may involve traffic against the flow of travel during peak hours.
